Terms and money
Who owns the website and the ad account if I cancel?+
You do — 100%. The website, the domain, the Google Ads account, the tracking number, and every lead in them are yours from day one, in your name. If you ever leave, all of it transfers with you and nothing gets switched off or held. Month-to-month, no long contract, and it's in writing before you sign.
Do you handle my ad money?+
Never. Your card, your Google Ads account, paid directly to Google. We manage the campaigns; you can see every dollar at the source.
How much does it cost?+
A one-time launch fee, then a flat monthly fee — month-to-month, quoted in writing before you sign anything. Ad spend is separate and stays on your card, paid straight to Google with no markup. We'll walk through the numbers on the call.
What's the guarantee, exactly?+
5 or more tracked leads — calls or quote forms from your campaigns — in your first month with ads live, or you get back every dollar you've paid Setline. Ad spend is billed by Google to your card and never touches us. You get it in writing before you sign.
How fast will I see leads?+
Search ads can start producing calls soon after going live — speed depends on your market and budget. Nobody can forecast your exact numbers from a webpage, so instead we put a floor under them: 5 or more tracked leads in your first month with ads live, or your money back. Real numbers for your market on the call.
What's included
What does a construction marketing agency do?+
Generally: some mix of websites, ads, SEO, and social for construction businesses. Setline deliberately does less — a conversion-focused website plus managed Google Ads, with tracking on everything. We'd rather do two things provably well than six things vaguely. The long version of how the channels compare is in our construction marketing guide.
Do you do SEO, social media, or content?+
On-page SEO, yes — every site we build ships with it: page structure, unique titles and meta descriptions, a clean heading hierarchy, schema markup, and a sitemap. It's included in the build, not an upsell. It just isn't our primary focus — we lead with the website and Google Ads because results show up fast and can be measured call by call. What we don't run is a standalone SEO retainer chasing rankings month over month. Social and content retainers: no. We ranked every channel honestly in digital marketing for contractors.
How do you keep DIY-kit and countertop searches out of my ads?+
With a negative-keyword list built from real search-term reports, applied before the first dollar is spent, and reviewed every week. The list is public: negative keywords for epoxy Google Ads.
Fit
Which trades do you work with?+
Epoxy and garage floors, flooring, painting — finish trades whose work sells visually. Outside those, we'll usually point you elsewhere.
Do you only work with epoxy contractors?+
No — epoxy and garage coatings, hardwood installs and refinishing, tile, and LVP all fit. If the photo sells the floor, the system works the same.
Do you work with polyaspartic and polyurea installers, or just epoxy?+
All of them. Polyaspartic, polyurea, flake, metallic, quartz, solid-color epoxy, polished concrete. If it goes on a slab and photographs well, the system fits. The ads simply use the words your customers use, and in most markets that's still "epoxy" and "garage floor coating."
Do you work with commercial flooring companies?+
We're built for residential work — homeowners searching and booking estimates. Commercial jobs we take case-by-case: raise it on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether this system fits.
Do you work with commercial painters?+
We're built for residential repaint work — homeowners searching and booking estimates. Commercial work we'll talk through case-by-case, and we'll say plainly if it isn't a fit.
Leads
How do flooring companies get more leads?+
A converting website plus search ads is the most controllable source — exclusive leads, tracked end to end. We wrote honest breakdowns of every option: epoxy-specific and all flooring.
How do painting contractors get more leads?+
A converting website plus search ads is the most controllable source for residential painters — exclusive leads, tracked end to end. We wrote an honest breakdown of every option, including buying leads: How to Get Painting Leads.
Are shared epoxy leads worth it?+
They can be — if you answer within minutes, track your close rate, and accept that the fee is owed win or lose. They're worst for contractors who can't drop what they're doing to call back.
Do I need a Google Business Profile to run ads?+
For LSA: yes — public and verified, enforced by Google since November 2024. For standard Google Search ads: no profile required.
